Donation FAQs

  1. Where do I drop off my items?

    Bring items to our facility at 160 Meadow Street in Monroe any day from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm. Please avoid mealtimes of 8-9 am, Noon-1 pm, and 6-7 pm. Bring to the door marked “Donations,” accessed by the back parking lot. If your donation includes furniture, please contact Volunteer@UnionShelter.org or (980) 222-9959 to screen and schedule donation delivery time.

  2. What items do you need?

    Check out our Top Needs List for the Shelter, Pantry and Home Again Program.
    Purchase something from our Amazon Wish List.

  3. Are there any items you DON’T accept?

    We DO NOT accept:
    - Clothing
    - Used toys
    - Home decor
    - Used mattresses
    - Beds
    - Entertainment Centers
    - Large appliances
    - Leftover food from home kitchens, or commercial kitchens where the food has not be kept at the proper temperature.

  4. Where can I bring clothes?

    Take them to our partner, Good Steward Ministries. Our shelter clients can shop there for free!
